I want to start a business in my city for "belly casting" pregnant women. I have experience casting but not many pregnant women are aware of how and where to get it done. Would you consider getting a cast done and if so do you have any advice?

My husband and I order a kit off the internet and did our own casting and I loved it. I hav eit on a easle display in my room. I love to look at it I miss being pregnant.It will depend on were you live as to how this will work for you if you have an art community near by or an upperclass society near you it would probably go over well. You would need to have some casting on disply for them to see and would you decorate thm or leave them plain. Let us know how it goes for ya.

I made one of my belly just before the birth of my son. I think it's a good idea, not sure how it would work as a business though. The best way for it to spread would be word of mouth, or to post up flyers in stores and children centres that way there's a more personal feel.

I would consider it and have considered it but it's just not something I would do. It's nice to have memories of your pregnancy but something that large? Where would you keep it? I guess I prefer good quality pictures of my belly with my husband's hand on it or pictures of my belly with my son--intimate pictures. The only problem with casting is--where would you put it and would a pregnant woman be able to sit or lay for that long?

I don't think I would be interested... I mean heck where would you hang something like that?
I think its a nice thought and some women would like it, because I think there have been some celebs who do this. Personally I wouldn't.

I never thought of that. Yeah that would be cool. A lot of celebs would like that too. Great idea. It's a moment in life you never want to forget.

No, I personally wouldn't do it...it's a waste of space. I'm happy just taking pictures :)
