A lot of times, it could be just what he told you. Maybe in his line of work, his ring might get messy or lost, and he loves you so much he doesn't want to lose it. And some people just do not like wearing rings. The best thing to do in this situation is not to let it bother you. Maybe you and he could go out to a nice restaurant and he could wear his ring then, and other occasions you go out? Or maybe, you could buy him a chain in the same color of his ring so he can wear it around his neck and not on his hands? If he still refuses to wear it, something else might be going on, but I would try a few things out before I made that assumption.

As a guy who did not used to wear his ring, I fully understand his position. I work with electronics and I never have nor ever will wear a watch even ( hate jewelry ). Then I started wearing my ring and noticed how happy it made my wife and well the rest is history I wear it all the time now.... so what if I get shocked.

I agree with Robin, if he doesn't wear it at work, but wears it all other times, no problem. My husband will not wear his at work either but will all other times. If he is refusing to wear it any time then this is a major problem. He is not respecting you or your feelings or your marriage. What is he trying to do, have other women not know he is a married man? I would speak very clearly with him and tell him you are suspicious of his reasons for not wearing his ring when not at work. If he truly loves and respects you he will put it on after work is finished.

I hate wearing my ring. Some women find men married men more appealing. At least he' s not wearing it and then taking it off when he is with his friends. That would be far worse. Be happy that he is being upfront with you. Many of my friends will wear theres and then keep there left hand in the pocket the whole night when we go out for drinks.

My husbands job requires him to do electrical work and therefore, he wears no jewlery. A ring isn't going to stop him from cheating. I have seen many men take off their ring and many women who don't care....Has he always been like this or has he just started not wearing it...These are questions that he and you need to discuss..

Wow, that's hard. My husband is a technician and has to take his ring off while working but he wears it any other time. And even then it doesn't matter because he has my name tattooed on his ring finger underneathe his ring. ANd if it bothers you that he doesn't he should try and find a medium.

Some jobs will injure a person if their finger gets caught in machinery with a ring. Some people don't like to wear rings, just be glad he doesn't wear it only when your with him.

Let me save you SIX months of grief and tell you, yes, believe him it is alright and it is okay, girl. I didn't like it. What I did (don't have to do much anymore) is wear it as a thumb ring when he doesn't wear it. I liked THAT and he's taken better ownership of it since then. It really meant nothing but to me it meant a lot. Don't worry. Try my thing, it'll be alright.

That doesn't sound good. Why is he uncomfortable wearing it at times - and are these times when he is around attractive women? He should want to wear his ring - the fact that he doesn't is a huge red flag. Be ware!

My husband does not wear his wedding band. He is a jet Mech in the Navy and it is a hazard for him to wear it. He cant even wear it around his neck on a chain. On the boat your not allowed to wear any jewlery on the flight deck. I wouldnt worry about it. He is probably tellling you the truth. I know my husband still loves me even though he does not wear it.
