Tell your friend "I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but this situation is not your concern." In certain situations, friends do get concerned because they care about you. They want to make sure you're okay. Your friend should get a clue to back off and focus on themselves. In the meantime, focus on your needs and be careful on what you tell your friends because once they find out what's going on, they WILL NOT mind their own business.

First, you should sit down with your friend and tell them what the problem is. Explain to them that the decision is not based on anything personal and that it is only business related. Also explain that the reason you are doing this is to keep your friendship.
