I've moved around a lot in my lifetime. Home is wherever I live as soon as my heart catches up from the last place. My heart tends to dawdle and stay back with friends and memories. Once I find new friends, a nice place to walk, places that make me happy...my heart moves in with me...and I'm home.
You're right: feeling at home is SO important. It's where the love is.

I was born and raised in KS, most would say that was there "home",
I have lived in Lafayette, CO for 6 years now, this is where I got my act together and made a wonderful life for my son and I, so Lafayette, is home to me...

Alameda,CA is where i live. although, for the better part of my life was spent in Oakland,CA..since after year 2000, the crime rate soared 100%. before long, our nice neighborhood was racked with callous gang violence..drugs..murders..so, in desperation, we left that city to be close to the beach area. currently we are not experiencing any gang activity. the area we lived in was called east oakland..it can be compared with the likes of east los angeles..or the bronx in new york..rough and tough boundaries. i rather live in hawaii..true paradise. and you are right, home..i feel so relaxed..there is nothing like it in the world.
