yes. Ronaldo is more cynical than RVN. His finishing is better and with Capello he will finally loose his beer belly and become the best as when he came to Barça

Ronaldo has all the skills. The only time he has trouble on the pitch is when he has trouble with his love life. If he stays away from the super-model trap he's prone to fall into, he can certainly still be the scoring machine of recent years. this year, if he scores, he'll play. If he doesn't, he'll be excess baggage, since van Nistlerooy is the real deal.

Van Nistlerooy was dumped by Marketing United because Rooney, Saha, Cristiano, Solskjaer can get the job done and they are more marketable. Cristiano choked at the World Cup in the marketing department, but there are enough teenage be-bops out there to still keep him loved. Van Nistlerooy is an excellent striker, certainly consistent and a great finisher, but he has a mouth problem that even van Basten can't stand.

So ... it's van Nistlerooy's mouth against Ronaldo's poor relationship history.

I'd vote on van Nistlerooy. It's easier for him to kep his mouth shut than it is for Ronaldo to stay out of the super-model trap.

Relaunch? It'll be difficult considering Van Nistelrooy's ability. He's gonna be the new guy that everyone's gonna look out for. But I think Ronaldo can do it. He proved everyone wrong this WC by scoring 3 goals and being top scorer in WC finals. Ronaldo is unpredictable. Let's just see what happens...he might surprise everyone once again!

There is no doubt in the fact that Ronaldo is superb striker but i dont really think his days in real madrid are long because of the coming in of players like nistelrooy, cassano, reyes, robinho etc.Ronaldo has done a great job for real madrid but the supporters dont like him for some reason. He may not reach his past glory but he has few more years in him left.I believe he will go to some other big club.

ABSOLUTELY!!! He is the "Fenomeno." He is known as the Mircale Kid! He can do wonders. Let us all hope he will be at his best. It is not him who will be missin anything but the football fans will be deprived of watching the magic that only the Phenom can create if Ronaldo is not given the chance to play. HE IS THE BEST THE BEST AND THE BEST! Only the fake Brasil fans cast doubt about his ability. True Brasil fans will always stick by the Phenom.

People who say no are stupid. Of course he can. He will always be the best along with Raul in my eyes. Ruud will be like Michael Owen when he signed. A substitute. He'll go to a crapper spanish team or come back to England or his native Holland or another big league to get 1st team football so he can play for Holland.

Any striker must hate playing with Ronaldo as he is so unpredictable, with his step overs and tricks.
When the winger has the ball the striker starts to make his run waiting for the cross but not from our man.

I would love to see Ronaldo in MLS. I think that it would tremendously help the popularity of soccer here in the US. That goes for Zidane, Figo, Beckham and all of the others as well.
