Only respond if you have actually done this please!!

I don't' know if this works or not, but I have known several people who do this. If nothing else, you are at least doing something to help your home sell and maybe it helps put you in a positive mindset. If you don't mind giving up your Joseph, then go ahead and try it.

Whenever I see a nativity scene missing a Joseph, I know he was usually "lost" during a home sale!!!

Best of Luck!!!

This is nothing but superstition. Some people will claim they buried a St. Joseph statue and then suddenly their house sold. Believe me, it would have sold without the statue. This is like throwing salt over your shoulder to ward off alleged bad luck, or not walking under a ladder, or any number of other ridiculous notions.

We did it but it took 4 months. Supposedly once the house is sold your supposed to dig up St. Joseph and move him to the hew house. Unfortunately we could locate him and move him so the new owners have him!

I'm selling my house, too, and just yesterday a friend told me to do this. I am going to try it. She said her friends had their house on the market for months and months, and as soon as they buried the statue, they got an offer!

I guess that makes sense, you bury a Saintly old man and then he asks God to have someone buy your house. Sure, why not. If I was a saint I would love to be dumped in someone's back yard and have dog poop piled on me!!!

It's just an urban myth, a superstition. It's not true.

But if it makes you feel better to do it, go ahead and do it. It will not affect the sale of your house, but it may give you peace of mind.

It's just superstition, but hey, it can't hurt! Just don't forget to dig him up once you have sold the home!

Yes, and then I reduced the price and it sold.
