First you need to calculate the index of hydrogen deificiency in order to find out a little more about the molecule. Do this to start,

CH3-CH2-CH2-COOH, there is a double bond with one Oxygen and the Carbon atom.

You have one unsaturation, so there will be a double bond or a ring somewhere in your structure. (C4H10 would be saturated, so losing two hydrogens means one unsaturation).

If you're trying to determine them, don't limit yourself to straight chains. There will be at least 2 cyclic (di)ethers that have this structure (e.g. a 6-membered ring with oxygens in the 1 and 3 positions, or the 1 and 4 positions).
