You definitely need another doctor. If they assume she's pregnant, you're daughter is at least a teen. Bulemia is another possibility. Stress and nerves can also cause it. I have gastritis which causes me to vomit (esp when I'm stressed) everyday. It's usually mornings or sometimes right after I eat. It's caused by a bacteria that causes the stomach to produce too much acid. See another doctor, and once psychological issues and pregnancy are ruled out, have that doctor refer your daughter to a gastroenterologist. They have a breath test that looks for the bacteria and they may recommend an upper-endoscopy. The bacteria can be treated with a set of antibiotics. Good luck.

Vomiting may be due to a large number of causes, and protracted vomiting has a long differential diagnosis.

Causes in the digestive tract:
Gastritis (inflammation of the gastric wall, usually by viruses)
Bowel obstruction
Acute abdomen and/or peritonitis
Ileus
Cholecystitis, pancreatitis, appendicitis, hepatitis
Causes in Sensory system and brain:
Ménière's disease
Concussion
Intoxication with alcohol (being sick whilst being drunk or being sick the next morning suffering from the after-effects, i.e. the hangover).
Cerebral hemorrhage
Brain tumors
Benign intracranial hypertension and hydrocephalus
Metabolic disturbances (these may irritate both the stomach and the parts of the brain that coordinate vomiting):
Hypercalcemia (high calcium levels)
Uremia (urea accumulation, usually due to renal failure)
Adrenal insufficiency
Hypoglycemia
Pregnancy:
Hyperemesis, Morning sickness
Other
Self-induced:
Eating disorders (anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa)
Sexual fetish (emetophilia)
Violent emotions (including laughing)
Cyclic vomiting syndrome (a poorly understood condition with attacks of vomiting)
High doses of ionizing radiation will sometimes trigger a vomit reflex in the victim.
Violent fits of coughing
as you see there is a lot of reason why she needs to be thourly checked but pregnancy is one of them.

well, its hard to say with such little information. And for the other answerers if the girl is telling the doctor, she's not bulimic or she would be hiding it. she could have a reflux problem, and if she's throwing up almost everyday and the doctor hasn't gotten concerned yet, take her to another doctor. Maybe a gastrointestinal specialist that can run tests and find out if there's an imbalance somewhere. I wish you the best and hope she feels better soon

I'd do a paternaty test, if she's not pregnant then maybe there's something going on that your unaware of and I would seek professional help..I'm only guessing on things because I don't know your daughter but it isn't drugs or making herself throw up after she eats is it..Check all options..Let's hope it's nothing serious but please take her to a doctor..

Unless there is some real reason for it, that is the first assumption they make.

The only other thing is some kind of nervous guilt over as aspect of her life

Change Drs. She needs a complete physical. Could she have bullemia? Is she making herself throw up to try to control her weight?

you need to add more details, her age first of all. She might need to see a specialist.
