my friend has recently just got a lovebite on her neck and I thought it was rather appealing!
I was wondering if I should get one too myself...???
What do lovebites mean and can you tell me more about them??
Do you think they are nice...in your opinion???

It's just that I go to an all girls' school...I get excited about new things...sex...and boys...that's why I can't help it...sorry!

They're cool if you can't see them. A "love-bite" (or a hickey) is actually a bruise where the person doing the kissing bit the perosn being kissed to leave a mark. Typically people with lots of such marks don't present a very positive image; ie: "I'm easy, I let someone put marks all over my neck." It's generally not considered tasteful to walk around with lots of visible love-bites.

lovebite aka hickys are disgusting horrible things and can cause skin cancer .... its like bruising sucking the blood to the surface to leave the mark ... yes ive been there done it and realised that its not nice looking and can cause alot of implications on the skin ..its digusting ... i dont think your mother would approve

Love bites are fine if both parties think so. However, this is something that best needs to be kept out of sight. I do not like to see them on the neck. And if you work somewhere, employers don't appreciate seeing them either!

Some people think they're rather show-off-like. People proudly display their love-bites when they're proud of either the person they've recieved it from, or proud of themselves for doing that type of stuff with their partner. On the other hand, if people just like to bite each other for the sake of being kinky, and not for the sake of wanting to show it off to others, then its hot.

I hate hickies (Love Bites). They are tantamount to a dog pissing on something to mark its territory. It is an immature act steming from insecurtity, one attempting to show that you are taken (as if you were an object to be possessed).
