Try the Imperial War Museum. I went with my daughter and we both thought it was fascinating. You can go into the trenches with the sounds and smells and also a bomb shelter. There is a whole floor about the halocaust. It was one of the best museums I've ever been to.
It looks like now they have the Animals War and the Childrens War displays, which your group might be interested in.
I'm assuming you wanted something interesting and educational...if you want something that is just "fun", the museum might not be it!

London is like a real Disneyland, you might get a chance to see the Royal Family, or the Trooping of the colour. but I hear that they have built a Ferris Wheel, the highest yet, and it overlooks the river Thames. They have Beautiful Parks, and great old age Cathedrals, you could see the Royal Jewels. There is soo much to do do in London you need about 3 weeks and then that is rushing it.

BIG BEN (Big clock tower), find the British Tourist Board 800# and ask for a Travel Catalog, or go to the library and look through books on London... Changing of the Gaurd is interesting and I once tried to get a gaurd to laugh, at his BOX POST, eyes dead ahead, not even a smile...
You might also like to inquire at some of the BIG 5 STAR hotels and ask if it might be possible to tour...
Remember this, it is easy to get lost with out a MAP, Ex: A Street name can change 7 times between 9 blocks....
Good luck!!!

London, England, or London, Ontario
London Ontario has a great military museum, and given Canada's role in the Middle East the timing couldn't be better.

The Ten Bells Pub--where Jack the Ripper got his victims.
I also like the National Gallery, although it'd probably bore 11-year old kids and any older people who aren't interested in art.

The London Aquarium, my lads loved this place when they were young teenagers. Although it was expensive. If you want to see one of the great wonders of the world then this is the place to go.

The Science museum or the History Museum. Whichever one has the dinosaurs - kids will love that.
