I've had TiVo for a couple of years. I own a Series 2 box. As of 11pm or so last night, it isn't working correctly. When I hit the TiVo button on the remote to bringi up the menu, it dings but nothing happens on screen. So basically, I can't access any of the functions that TiVo has to offer. Does anyone know anything about this issue?

Try searching the forums @ tivocommunity.com

If you haven't already, try removing the power for a minute or so, and turning it back on.

Can you change the channel? If you hit the "left" button, does it go to the menu? Maybe replace the batteries in your remote. Could be a lot of things.

The usual fix is to unplug the unit, wait for 5 min and plug it in again. The URL for the TiVo community forum is http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/ If you still have problems, I strongly recommend you post a question there.

You may need to reset it. Go to Messages and Setup, then System Reset. You may lose your data (season pass, etc.).

You could give Tivo a call, or go to their website to see if others have experienced this problem. www.tivo.com
