That's a very good idea. That way they can just make sure there are no problems, get you started on prenatal vitamins, & do a pap smear if you haven't had one in a while (since they say that doing one once you're pregnant can give inaccurate results since your cervix goes through so many changes then). It's also a good idea to see your dentist for a checkup and cleaning, since pregnancy can make your gums sensitive, and obviously you're not supposed to have x-rays when you're pregnant. Good luck! :)

If you have health problems, or have had miscarriages or problem pregnancies it is always a good idea to have a pre-conception visit. It is also recommended to take prenatal vitamins for 3-6 months before trying to get pregnant to build up your folic acid levels. Eat healthy. If you smoke or drink, and are wanting to get pregnant now is a good time to stop.

Yes, you should go. It is good to make sure everything is in order before you get pregnant. If you have any kind of infection, you may need antibiotics which are not good to take when you are pregnant. They may even prescribe prenatal vitamins to give you a head start for a healthy pregnancy.

Definatley go in for family planning and for a prenatal prescription...it's always a good idea giving your baby to be the best start possible, even before conception.

I would. Its important to know that you are healthy enough on the inside to be able to carry a healthy child without complications. If you are concerned about it then you should go talk the doctor. I know I would. I want to make sure that nothing goes wrong when creating a child.

Yes, you should. Just make sure that everything is okay. She will advise you as to taking vitamins (folic acid) and any other changes you need to make before getting pregnant.

If you have been trying to conceive with no luck for more then 6 months then yes, I suggest you go talk to your ob. Or, if you haven't been to your ob in over a year then you should go see her. Otherwise, it is your choice.

Best of luck!

yes. They can also give you prenatal vitamins. They will help your body get ready to have a baby. Also if you are healthier then you will have a better chance of conceiving.

good luck
