Compared to what you had before, he is doing a good job.
What you need to do to have a chance of winning is stop blaming everyone else for your failings and start taking responsibility when things go wrong and take the necessary actions to put them right.

I think he is doing a great job. He has signed a great striker for this season and if Beattie could find some form they could be a lethal partnership. To be realistic one of only four teams is going to win the title. The aim must therefore be to get high enough in the league to qualify for Europe. For most sides in the league that would be a successful season. To win a trophy this season you will need luck in the draw and for the big teams to be knocked out early in the competitions.

You're a big club and you took a gamble on a good Championship manager (at the time).
He's done OK for you up to now, and when you got rid of, sorry, sold Rooney who thought that you would have a great season like you did?
He's made a couple of good signings, well maybe Beattie being an exception. Mind you i don't watch them week in week out so it's not for me to say.
Just like us mate, it's either the Carling Cup or the FA Cup coz lets face it, there's only 3 teams likely to win the Prem and Everton aint one of them.
