Electrolytes are substances containing free ions, especially ionic compounds dissolved in water, that act as electrical conductors. Nutritionally, they serve as aids to rehydration. If you consume large amounts of pure water during periods of physical exertion, the water can dissolve salts in your cells, impeding the normal function of the cells. In extreme cases, it can even lead to fatal water poisoning. But a drink containing electolytes allows your body to use the water to rehydrate without suffering those ill effects.

very important!!!!! deep down i think we are social creatures i like being around people and having people in my life that i can relate to and talk to and hug and stuff i hate being home at night when none of my roommates aren't home...... even if we don't talk or whatever i just like knowing that someone is there crazy enough statistics show that college students in the Greek system have fairly low dropout rates because they tend to have a support system...... Greek life is more than exclusivity and parties ..... i think also theres stuff on drop out rates with people in other activities being lower because they are involved and get to make connections with more people there's stuff i couldn't have made it through without my friends and family....... i think you might however be discrediting affairs.........as every relationship even the taboo ones have influence on who the person will become....... not that I've ever had an affair .....but even my weaker short relationships with men that in retrospect were bad situations have impacted me even though they were brief and irresponsible.....an emotional connection was there......and i was watching Oprah the other day and it seemed that affairs weren't just about sex but also included emotional connections

However, hopefully you won't be going on any water binges soon, so it's generaly not a very important thing to have in water. But it sounds hi-tech, so someone's bound to buy it.
