I never recommend a place with dim lights or that does not allow you to talk! :) But, what about a nice fall picnic or the botanical gardens? Riverboat cruise, walk in the park, a doggy date (bring your pets), the zoo, the fair or amusement park, a sports game? I hope this helps and Good Luck!

somewhere where you're both comfortable.
If the weather is nice...make a picnic. Be creative and bring your "movie" outside somewhere nice....watch an "outdoorsy" movie in the park on a portable DVD player with a picnic blanket and homemade snacks.

At the movies you wont get to know her/him. A bar isn't a great place either.
