I agree, what is a desi marriage? However, if you are worried about any type of relationship failing start an open dialog with the other person. Open communication is key in fostering a healthy relationship, one in which misunderstandings are seldom a problem. Open communication will provide a deep level of understanding of both person's needs and what each is expected in the marriage. Without open communication, resentments, misunderstandings, and eventually a failed marrieage will result. So, if you do not have open communication, then this is a sign a marriage is failing, regardless of how long it actually takes to fully fail.

-When u become emotionally detached from ur hubby/wife.
-When u start thinking abt other men/women.
-When the dishes r always colliding w/ each other (loads of fights).
-When physical abuse from any side is experienced.
-When u start hating the person.
-When the guy is always taking his mother's side & not listening to the wife's suggestions.
-When u guys just don't wanna spend the rest of ur lives together.
-When the tough gets going, the going gets tough. (See a marriage councelor if need be.)....Gud luck with ur marriage...it's not really "traditional" for Indians to get a divorce...in fact, "divorce" (talaak) isn't a word from our language...the word "talaak" (divorce) is from Arab...not our India. ;)...that's b/c ppl know how to stick up for each other in our country.
