Well, I don't "hate" them, but I do root against them. Why? I'm from WV- go Mountaineers! But that's not really why either. For me- it goes back to when they won the National Championship. I really felt they didn't deserve it. All this talk nowdays about poor officiating- well someone should have been talking about it then. They won several games that year that they should have lost- but won- due to bad calls that went their way. I can't remember all of them, but I know there were several when they played Penn State. If we would have had instant replay then, Ohio State would have never been in the national championship game, let alone won it. That's when I started "hating on" the Buckeyes.

Sorry, but in the Queen's English, the verb hate does not need a preposition.
So it's "Why do people hate the Buckeyes?" Save the street slang for the street.
And it's because your fans are almost as arrogant as Michigan fans.

I live in ann arbor and I like the Buckeyes when they beat the crap out of Michigan.

MAINLY BECAUSE OF JEALOUSY. I HAVE SEVERAL FRIENDS THAT HATE THE BUCKEYES, BUT WHEN I ASK THEM WHY, THEY REALLY CAN'T COME UP WITH A REASONABLE ANSWER. THEY ALWAYS COME UP WITH SOME STUPID RAMBLING LIKE TNTWADE TYPED ABOVE. HE COULDN'T COME UP WITH SPECIFIC INSTANCES, BUT HE REMEMBERS THEM WELL. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME WEST VIRGINIA WON A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IN ANYTHING? SOUNDS TO ME TO BE A BAD CASE OF BUCKEYE ENVY.

Ohio State has long been known to practically let their football player's slide on all things academic. Seems like every year there are 25, 26, 27 year olds on the team. That's not "college" that's just cheating!!!

I don't know, maybe some people just don't like Ohio State. I personally like them, mainly because they produced a couple of my favorite NFL players.

How many ways can you spell "s-u-c-k-s"? Just because they play in the Big "2" conference. If they do make it past Michigan, which I sincerely doubt, they will be spanked like a red-headed step-child in the national championship game.
