what do you think about this charity idea?

if i were to buy an old tractor and trailor and teach people to drive so they could get their CDL and get a better paying job.

i imagine finding the right kind of students would be the most difficult problem. i dont want freeloaders who wont do anything with the skills i will be investing my time and money in giving them. ...id like people who are trying to make it but just cant and need some extra help. maybe some churches could help me locate these type of people.

what do you think about this? would i get any tax breaks or anything like that because this would be for charity? do you think the students would benefit from something like this?

Yes, it is an excellent idea. Check with local organizations/employers who are hiring CDL drivers and ask them what their ideal employee is like, then you can train people and build the workforce. I'd get with the Chamber of Commerce in your area, as well as the Small Business Administration, the Workforce or Economical Development Corporation in your area, and even local high schools. Funding can come from sources you never dreamed of, if you network with the right people.

Look into the Small Business arena, most probably as a non-profit organization. I don't know, that's what I would do...also, I would check with the city, and the programs they offer to the people...

Please make confident that not one of the money raised is going to the RSPCA. they have been suggested as abusing their donations and so on.. Many have stopped donating money to them. they don't look to be as above board simply by fact the universal public have been brought about have faith.
