I tried lots of bleach, but that didn't work. I am going to just buy new t-shirts.

This might work: try washing with oxy clean, and stop the wash cycle a few minutes in, and just let them soak, for a little while, or maybe even hours; then start the cycle back up, and let it finish. I had a lot of success doing this with shoes and jeans. Stopping the wash cycle halfway through, lets the oxy clean and wash water soak into the clothes, and work longer on the stain. I've done overnight with some jeans, and it worked great -- there was dirt removed that washing never got.

Soak in a solution of 2 cups of salt to a gallon of water. The stain will dissolve almost before your eyes! This works even on silk. Then rinse and wash normally.

And yes, using a stronger antiperspirant is a good preventive measure.

One other trick is to buy your silk shirts or white shirts in one size larger than you'd get others.

There is a product called Mrs Stewart's Bluing. It's available in the laundry aisle of the store. Follow the directions on the back. Also use non-chlorine bleach. Regular bleach makes it more yellow.

sodium thio glycate will do it. It is the active ingredient in a product called bleach for the unbleachables.
If the stain is deep you'll have to treat it several times. The solution is applied to the stain and allowed to stand for a time. Then the garment is washed in warm water with detergent.
