First are you sure there is enough brake fluid in the master cylinder's resevoir? There's a sensor in there to make sure your brakes have enough fluid. It's possible that it's running low and may be using the same dash board light to let you know there is something wrong with your brake system.

If it truly is the emergency brake only, then it's most likely a loose electrical sensor that usually around where your emergency brake is located.

Are you sure its the Emergency Light and not the Brake Light ?? two different lights .

The EML (emergencey brake light is the foot brake you apply - there is a contact that when you apply the brake it makes contact, sometimes as you pull the lever to release it , it snaps back hard ehough to make it go out of position and cause that flikering to come about.) Check that see if that helps.

The Brake light in it self tells you that the fluid level in the Master Cylinder is getting to a low level point - which in turn tells the driver that it might be time for a brake service. Id check the fluid level , if it needs some to be added - DONT add any till you check out the brake material and see how much you have left. If the lining is low then service your brakes 1st - with that they will service the fuild.

Good Lcuk

Defective sensor on the emergency brake mechanism. It can be disconnected. Have it checked and adjusted by a qualified mechanic. If the brake is actually dragging, it'll cost a bundle eventually.
