As the question states, i have about 3 girl characters; a lil' gnome warlock, and 2 night elves. I'm not sure about it, but a few of my buddies and I all have girl chars on this game. This topic was brought up on Gamefaqs about a month ago.
I myself think it's ok to have a girl character, because i still act how i normally do when i play as them. I am a guy with a girlfriend, and i'm not bi. My gf knows i have girl characters also.
Some people may assume that i have them because i'm perverted, or something else, but i only have them because i really don't like looking at guy characters all day. Don't get me wrong, orc men and troll men are fine, but i hate the women of those races too lol. i have a gnome female cuz she's kitten cute, and 2 night elf females cuz, well, i already have a male night elf and i wanted to change things up a bit.

I too play female characters on WOW. The gear looks better and they just look better all around. Have fun!

Guys play girl characters because the character that you play will be on the screen at all times. The male characters are ugly and annoying to constantly look at, where as the girl characters are just more aesthetically pleasing to the eye for both male and female players.

j/k... maybe people get mad because after they try to pick you up and they find out you're male behind the keyboard they're all disgusted with themselves.
I played a girl character on SWG for awhile and I got so tired of being hit on I gave it up. I'm with you, though. Much nicer to look at a female character all day but it's harder getting into the roleplaying.

Coming form a girl.....
1) It's a game
2) I have 2 female toons on WOW, almost made my second a male.
3) I may still do a third toon as a male.
4) nothign wrong with it. Wheather it's male or female, it still entertains you, and most people on WOW are guys anywyas.
don't stress it. If they pick on you, tell them how silly they look in their under sized clothing! (if their toon is a low lvl male, don't wanna get a butt whoopin from a lvl 60 now!) :P

Of course not! If you are really a girl, you could make the girl you really want to be to come true in WoW. If you are really a guy, then make the hottest girl you can cook up in your fantasy! I would put an amazon if I had WoW.
