Not so fast Shockey fans.

Shockey's not 100% with that ankle and, while he's a trooper, you have to be real careful starting anybody's who's questionable. Even if the Ravens keep Kellen to a dull roar, running his mouth up and down the field should get more points than running his mouth on a bench. Even with the low-point TE position, I *hate* starting anybody's who's questionable if I've got a legit alternative.

And, at least one site had the following to say about Kellen.

Tight End: Kellen Winslow. Winslow talked a big game after Sunday's loss to the Bengals, suggesting that he should be in the game more, especially during critical situations. He made a habit of performing well after locker room outbursts while at the University of Miami, so just in case that trend carries over into the NFL, consider starting him if you haven't done so already.

See also Yahoo's "Fantasy Matchups" which gives Kellen 5 stars saying "Ravens are shaky vs TE" whereas they're giving Shockey just 3 stars, saying "Banged up and a tough matchup"

Of course, these are about the only two site that suggest Kellen over Jeremy.

Aside from the fact that Shockey will be on a bum ankle if he plays at all, he'll also be running up against one of the few defenses with linebackers that can actually keep up with him. With a better matchup and a healthy Shockey he's definitely a starter, but this week Winslow might surprise Baltimore a little bit. And frye will certainly be throwing the ball when they get behind early.

Almost always play Shockey. Watch the injury reports. If Shockey seems to be slowed down a lot by his injury, then you have to seriously consider Winslow.

The battle between Big Mouthed TE's. Gotta go with Shockey, Clevelands offense is anemic

Shockey, BY FAR, is a bigger asset to have at TE. With the high powered offense the giants have, shockey is far more likely to be up against easy mismatches which will have him putting up big numbers this year. He is the no brainer choice.

Are you serious? This is like a no-brainer...BAL will kill Frye which will winslow. Shockey on the other hand has a better QB in manning and SEA is not close to the BAL Defense.

I would start Shockey. Seattle is bound to rotate coverage to Burress this week which will open up opportunities for Shockey and Toomer
