I think they should but it should be limited. Like, if you finished in the top 15 or 20 at a track in the current or previous season, then you can't race there in the Bush series. And you can't race at "Busch" only tracks.
Look at the standings, the top 5 all have fulltime Nextel cup rides and 8 of the top 10 do. It takes away from the Busch series. I don;t even watch the Busch series anymore because it is just a lighter version of the Nextel cup now, a lot of the same drivers.

i say yes to a point, and i agree with some of the other answers too.
there should be some kind of rules set up so that the drivers from the nascar series should not overshadow the drivers from the bush series, they need their own time to develop fan following and learing the race life. may be there can be a few shared races or something like a previous answer said rules set up by where they are in the rankings.
it really can take away from both races as those who run in the bush series seem to get an advantage over those who only run in the nextel cup races (they know how the track is running and can make necc adjustments that the others will not have the opportunity to make) not all drivers have the money to run in both.

I say no. If they are full time cup drivers then they should not be allowed to drive in the Busch series. Why? It's unfair to the Busch regulars- takes money out of their pockets, and has too much of an impact on their points. I say the cup drivers shouldn't be so greedy. They are making plenty. If they are doing it just for the love of racing- then do it elsewhere. They should appreciate this- as most were in the Busch series first. How quickly they forgot that THEY didn't like it when they lost to cup drivers. But, alas, it IS all about money. The better known cup drivers help pull in a bigger audience, so I can't see the rules changing anytime soon.

No.
They are killing the Busch series.
Full time cup drivers should only be allowed to run 5 races in the lower series per season. The only reason cup guys run busch races is extra track time. If they let the teams have more practice time before qualifying, they would need the busch races. That would allow new teams and small teams a chance to make the busch series.

For starters, the Busch series is NASCAR, too.
It depends on where you are coming from--
If you are a non-ISC track owner, the Cup guys bring in fans that normally might not bother coming to your Busch or CTS race.
If you are a team owner, you can get $$, not to mention experience for your Cup driver(s).
If you are a sponsor like Lowe's, you get lots of media coverage having cars in both series (in this case, different drivers).
If you are a Cup driver, you get experience on a particular track, especially now there is less testing. You get $$ for doing what you love, and a sponsor or charity can benefit from the exposure. (Cup drivers in Busch traditionally get more media attention that regular Busch guys.)
If you are a fan and can't get to a Cup race, you might be able to see some of your favorite drivers in a Busch or CTS race.

i will say yes to that question but i think nascar should lay down some new rule package such as if a driver is in say the top 20 nextel points then they are not eligible to race in a Busch event this will keep the races in Busch more interesting and keep it open for new talent and more opportunities for Busch drivers to win larger prize money it would just be the fair thing to do for drivers of lets say less seat time for more opportunities

I think they should only be allowed to run 1 race a weekend. Its unfair for the Cup drivers to race in the busch series. Thats like a major league baseball player going and playing for a minor league team also. They should limit it to 1 race per driver for a weekend. So if you wanna race in the Cup race you better not race the busch that weekend.

No! I think if you run the Nextel Cup Series, I don't think you should be in point contention in the Busch Series. The Busch Series is for up-and-coming drivers to get noticed, and with all the Nextel Cup guys in there, it will be harder to really stand out.

I am not a big racing fan, but I think it is ludicrous that you can race in both series. The Busch series should be a minor league.
I am sure it all done for the money. Let bigger names in and people will come and watch the race.

If you are a full-time cup driver i dont think you should be able to. but if you are a busch series driver then you should be able to race in the cup series on a limited schedule.
