NOPE.
pre 9/11 i was nervous getting on this plane with a muslim guy who seemed to be reciting something furiously, some kind of prayer.
now, i'd stay and take the next flight.

Sure I would get on the plane. Just being Muslim is no problem however if it were a terrorist now that's a horse of a different color.

I fly first class where ever I go and I take my pet pig "oink" with me. If I knew there were a terrorist on board poor old oink knows his job and that is to dive feet first down the terrorists throat and i will be right behind him stomping the crap out of him. If for some reason the plane does go down Oink is going with him and he is going to have a hell of a time talking to all those promised virgins with a Pig sticking out of his mouth and my foot up his A@@. But that's the man in me talking. My sensitive side would just flatten the tires on the plane so it couldn't take off and I would sit next to the suspected terrorist and eat my bacon samich smothered in scrapple and pigs feet and wait for homeland security to pry Good old Oink off the terrorists testicles..

You got a better plan?

Actually I understand your concern. I'm not going to lie and pretend to be all high and mighty. I might not get on that plane, or rather, might tell a flight attendant about my concerns. But it would depend on how "suspiciously" said person was acting. Is he just praying? or does he look nervous? (could just be afraid of flying, or saying morning/afternoon/evening prayer). Or is he mixing chemicals with an odd thing that looks like a detonator? I think it would take that level of suspiciousness before I'd actually be suspicious. As for the beard thing, would you not get on a plane with a Hasidic (sp?) Jew if he has a long beard?

I wouldn't get on a plane with ANYONE acting suspicious. What would you concider suspicious activity anyway? I do not concider what a person wears suspicious. I'm always concerned that I don't sit next to a drunk, or an asshole who uses flights to pick up chicks, or screaming children. If I do have the misfortune of sitting next to one of these pillars of socity, then I would be more afraid of ME blowing up the plane. I might ask you to pass me a lighter; an activity I would concider, by all means, suspicious.

I would certainly point him out to a TSA Supervisor, and if I got sloughed off, I'd raise HOLY HELL until something was done.

However, I think TSA is now doing a pretty good job at check-in, with better trained people, and that a suspicious-acting person of any ethnicity would be stopped and carefully checked.

That leaves me wondering about what happens during the out-of-sight inspection of CHECKED BAGGAGE. I have had small legal items stolen or confiscated at that point, and of course we know that one of the Muslim terrorists in the recently aborted plot in England was employed as a security agent.

Yes I would. You can't judge every single person that gets on a plane, and looks like a threat or acts supiciously. I've been on a plane with drunk and violent people and the flight was terrible, but it wouldn't stop me going again. Just like the underground. It would never stop me from travelling. If it is my time to go then it's my time. I could walk out of my door tomorrow and get stabbed to death or run over.

Definately, I would feel very safe, the muslims are peacful people, I do not know what acting (oh you mean bieng suspicious) suspiciously is, and if he was only wearing a beard, i would find him some clothes.

Can't be a racist for that, muslims can be all races. Religious prejudice perhaps.

Would you get on any plane, if a Catholic, was acting suspicious, or a Baptist?
