There is little to choose between any of the breakdown companies, I used to work for one of them so know they simply match each other and try to sell the % rather than the service.

I found green flag the cheapest and has same level of cover as the others, who all use third party agents to attend breakdowns when their agent cannot get to you!

The AA. I have had many breakdowns and they are always there really quickly. I don't know about other companies but my card covers me not the car, so if i am in someone elses car and they break down i can ring them.

Im happy with RAC £60 ish per yearto cover me they came and checked the car when I couldnt get it started in Cov and rescued me when the chain came off my motor bike

Lloyds bank do free AA cover with their accounts think you have to get a Gold or Platinum one though.

my family had aa for years when my sister joined she unfortunatly broke down on the a46 coventry bye pass.
it took 2.5 hours for them to get there so we then went to the rac

Big blue tarp - it has reinforced holes that you can run line through to tie it down on your car if it breaks down.

But why would you want to do that?
