I've read the Belgariad series, and also the Mallorean, the Elenium, and the Tamuli series, as well as Belgarath the Sorcerer and Polgara theSorceress. I really like him too. Have you ever read Terry Brooks' "Sword of Shannara" series?

I definitely think Eddings is one of the best writers ever, especially in the world-building genre of fantasy. I actually prefer him to Tolkein, because I find the Belgariad much more accessible than LOTR, of which I was not a huge fan until the movies (turns out, seventy page battles work much better as 5 minute film sequences).

I like the Belgariad and the Malleroen series very much. There is alot of humor in them and they are well written.
