I'm glad that Dunrobin finally and correctly pointed out that anyone in the line of succession (although it really only applies to those at the top of that line, as there are nearly 900 people in the current line of succession) does need the sovereign's permission to marry. In all likelihood Prince William would simply not become involved in a relationship with a black woman. Whilst the United Kingdom is very racially diverse, it is rumoured that there are still very deep sentiments within the royal family regarding mixed marriages. Prince Phillip, for example, is thought to have been very much against the possible marriage of Diana, Princess of Wales and Dodi Fayed because of the possibility of children of mixed race, who would then have become the half-brothers or sisters of the Princes William and Harry.
So, the chances of it ever getting so far as a question of Prince William's being "allowed" to marry someone of another race are very, very slim.

Who knows what if she was Royal herself? I don’t think his girlfriend Katie is of any Royal status nor do I think even think she has any sort of title either. I know Princess Diane I think had a title even before she married Charles.

People love who they love, if he did fall in love with someone who is demeaned “unacceptable” whatever their skin color. He would have to decide what is more important to him Love or the Throne. After his parents marriage hopefully he would go with Love. Like Elizabeth’s Uncle bless him who stepped down from the thrown for the woman he loved.

Times clearly are changing 20 years ago a divorcee/ Catholic never would have been allowed to marry into the Royal family. So I’m sure that eventually we will see one of England’s royalties (maybe not William) marry a non-white person.

Just like American is going to evenutally see a non white president and even evenutally a female president

Interesting question. Her colour wouldn't matter, but her religion would. If she were Catholic, Prince William would have to give up the throne. Or at least, that's the way the constitution stands at the moment.
That was the reason Edward VIII (Queen Elizabeth's uncle) had to give up the throne. Mrs. Simpson was a divorcee with (I believe) not one but two living husbands. And Edward marrying her would be in contravention of the Church of England rules. His only other choice was to marry her morganatically -- that is, she would be his officially recognized mistress, but wouldn't bear the title Queen and their children would not be in line for the throne. Edward said, No thanks, and resigned. That would be the choice William would also face.

There have been some ill-informed answers here. Anyone in the line of succession needs the sovereign's permission to marry, so he would need his Grandmother's (or if he waits a long time, his father's) permission. Neither would reject a potential bride on grounds of race, but would be forced by the law, as mentioned, to reject someone on the grounds of religion. Any relationship would be public knowledge and even assuming the Queen or Charles disapprove of mixed marriages, there would be a tremendous uproar if they nixed a marriage because of her race.

But it is incorrect that the heir to the throne must marry someone of royal blood. Princess Diana and the late Queen Mother were both earls' dughters, but were not royal, and Camilla is not even aristocratic.

Yes, provided she isn't Catholic. Anyone in the line of succession to the throne is prohibited from marrying a Catholic. Otherwise he's free to marry whomever he wishes. Should he do so, a mixed marriage such as this would be a first for the British royal family, but it's not unheard of. Prince Joachim of Denmark, second son of Queen Margarethe II, married Alexandra Manley, who is Asian. She became the first Asian to marry into a European royal family. So mixed marriages do occur.

He could but he won't. People would make a big deal about it.

Prince William will most likely marry an aristocratic white girl. Even though Kate Middleton is not an artistocrat, she is still white.

If Prince Charles could get away with a divorce then Prince William could certainly get away with marrying a black woman.

No, unless he resigns from his rights as heir to the throne. In Holland the Crown Prince married an Argentinian girl (white blonde Latina) and she became a Princess. Times are changing. I really hope to see a black woman as president of the US. Or, why the US does not reinstate the Monarchy, great for the tabloids!

nope, even if it was a latin or white woman. Any woman that doesnt have 'royal' blood is not allowed to marry a prince ( or other royalty) under the royal laws. They could suffer the risk of getting dishonored and out of the royal family. However, I think times have changed a lil bit and have become more flexible with that stuff.
