L.A. activities?

I teach 5th and 6th grade language arts, and I am looking for some fun activities that really get the kids out of their seats and gets them interested in learning. I have tried many things, and I am always looking for something new and different. Do you know any good books or web sites I can use as reference. Thanks for any help I recieve.

I think it's kind of scary that a Language Arts teacher doesn't know that she should capitalize the name of the class. How do you teach grammar and punctuation?

Your state/province should have curriculum guides with suggested activities for the students. Otherwise, try some of these books:
