Lanes average between 12-15 feet. So a 6-lane highway (3 lanes in each direction) would be between 72 and 90 feet wide plus shoulders and median strip.

national highways - each lane - 50 feet;
state highways - generally 200 feet; varies in different countries

I want to drive on that road with 50' lanes. the actual answer is 8' per lane . If you want to check it out go to your state/DOT.gov
