Depending on how gullible your parents are, it's quite easy.

You are not too good if you are on Yahoo! Answers which has lots of adult content.

But yes, I would like a child who is very honest and respectful.

Apparently the kids are hiding things from their parents to avoid being punished. Exploration is a natural part of learning and growing up. However, often time adults know that the exploration is dangerous to the children and put restrictions on the child. The child then has to hide information while they do the things the parent forbade.

Why should kids hide the truth from their parents. Because of fear. Parents always are interested in their children.
the reflection of their fear and love for their off springs show extreme concern. Children take their parents like enemies especially teenage adolescents. So this conflict. Children should understand their parents and be truthful without fear. Parents should also encourage children to tell the truth and explain the pros and cons of their action when kids are free. Scolding, shouting, beating will not help children to have discipline but love, affection and care will take parent long way.

It's all up the the child wether they can be trusted..They wouldn't have no need to HIDE things if they were not doing things they were not suppose to be doing..A lot of teenagers puts in on theirselfs, my son never gave me any reason to snoop around so he never had to hide or sneak around ..A lot of parents can be a little to strict to..They need to put a little more trust in their kids and the kids need to give their parents a reason to trust..It does work both ways..But the parents need to be a little more cautious..Just don't over do it..

I have three grandaughters... 4 1/2 and twins 2 1/2... all three of them have lied. the twins are still not speaking plan yet but they still know to deny their wrong doing... that is an instinctive thing... it is the inter action with others in a disiplining invironment that develops the self disiplin to controle the instinct... that is what is lacking today in the lives of young people. The imposed disiplin is so weak or toaly lacking in much of their lives. that they do not develope the self disiplin needed to controle themselves.

self disiplin comes from imposed disiplin.

Hold on to whan you have in your self disiplin...it will positivly affect every area of your life.

You're 14......give it a few years......your priorities will change.....and your parents will be the least of your concern..........then you will grow out of it and they will be the most important again....

TRUST should never be broken by lies or else the love we require will not grow.
