Hair growing back thicker after shaving is only an illusion. Normally your hair is tapered from root to tip. When you shave, you cut the hair straight across. So as the hair grows back in, it no longer has the same tapered shape and it appears thicker than it did before you shaved it.

Honestly...I shave the trail of hair on my stomach since it is quite dark. The hair grows back perfectly normal. In my opinion, it is better to shave it than have that dark line. However, if you don't see this hair then DON'T mess with it. It is not worth having another body part to shave.

Man you just commited the ultimed NONO for shaving.Your stomach hair is definitely going to grow thicker and stubby.
The only other way I can think of is wax it the next time when its long enough so that it is softer again.
A good solution is to pluck it, wax it or bleach the stomach hair if it bothers you. DO NOT SHAVE AGAIN EVER!!!!

It's all a myth, when i had laser hair removal. They said, it isn't true that when you shave, it grows back thicker. It's an old wives tale. You can shave and it will be fine. Don't worry.

Won't grow spikey but since you lobbed it off at the skin, it will feel like its thicker.
Wax it off. Much faster and it lasts longer!

I shave everywhere anticipate for my face (of path) and my forearms (they don't seem to be bushy) My bf seems to rejoice with me being shaved in spite of if he won't shave. In previous relationships i've got had men shave and that i constantly enjoyed it in spite of if i would not want them shaving their palms, underarms or legs that's a sprint too female for me in spite of if I do like each thing else being shaved very sexy :)

do not shave your stomach! it will grow back spiky, darker, and thicker - you could try a cream like nair, but waxing is the definite solution - good luck!

yes! maybe not spikier, but definitely thicker.
once you start you can't stop either.
who wants another body part to shave, yeesh.
