Only a portion of your problem is due to RAM, the example that you put of youtube it is just because of your slow internet connectivity.
Now coming to your question that is there any way to increase the RAM, the answer is YES, you can increase your "Virtual RAM" without adding anymore RAM slot in your PC. To do this follow these steps...(I'm assuming that you are using windows XP)
1. Right click on "My Computer"
2. Properties
3. Goto "Advanced" tab
4. Performance
5. Advanced
6. Here you will see "Virtual memor" click on change
7. And set it to the limit you want (it depends upon the size of your hard dish, if your hard dish has more storage capacity you can increase your Virtual memory greatly and vice versa)
8. Click "OK"
9. "OK"
Then you will be asked to reboot, reboot your PC and you can now enjoy more RAM *(virtual RAM) And you can see the difference yourself.

The memory is not the only fault which can cause this problem. Well you should have provided some more info about your configuration and the OS that u r using. If its a pentium 2 and u r running Windows XP with 128mb ram, then the memory may be the fault, but i dont think it is.
Maybe, you dont have the required manufacturer driver for your graphic card because if your movies are playing choppy, maybe the bitdepth of your display is set to 256 colors, you can try looking at that too by right clicking on the desktop, choosing properties, then settings. If that is the case, then change it to 32-bit colour display. The prob should be fixed.

The two main problems i see here are.
1 Pentium 2 is very slow by todays standards, upgrading is possible, difficult and can be expensive as you have to look at the type of motherboard you have.
2 The amount of ram you have in your machine, it is not as easy as "freeing it up". Playing video is very memory hungry and will slow any graphics card unless it has its own memory.
you need to find out this information.
Go to "Start" "settings" "control Panel" and click on "System", the front page will give you the information you need.
If you cant afford to replace the mother board and chip then the biggest boost you can give it is to increase the RAM.
This must be matched (as a pair) and suitable for your board.
If you require help with this then the Kingston web site is a good place to start.
Good luck.

It's your video memory that is too small. Not your system RAM. The solution to your problem is to reduce the size of the window that you're viewing the video in. The smaller the window, the less memory required. Take much less resources that way. That or go out and upgrade your graphics card.

If you need more RAM, it is a piece of hardware that has to be installed on your system. Not just a quick fix.
You might be having problems also because you have a Pentium 2 - a much slower processor than what is available now.

Can you play a video saved on your computer ok? It may be your download speed is too slow, you are not on dial up are you?
If you are still using a P2, it is time for an upgrade.
Don't bother buying more RAM, Get a new computer,
Look at tigerdirect.com, you can usually get a pretty good one for less than $400.

There are utilities that purport to free RAM, but they usually do more harm than good. What you really need is more RAM, which is inexpensive these days. Go to www.crucial.com and the size will be provided as well as the max RAM for your pc.

Just buy more RAM, 128 is not enough for what you want to do.
