Both. The best is when we find a lover in a friend or a friend in a lover.

Lovers come and go... friends should be forever.
Hopefully a friend will turn into a lover and then you have both a lover and a friend forever.
So... always chose a friend over a lover unless that lover is a friend.

Both are very important...and I agree it would be nice if your lover is in fact your best friend

lover is important than friends. beacause a lover can be a friend also. in fact in most cases he is!!!! friends ditch but once u find rite love hes there 4 u all life.

FRIEND!!!! They stick with you and you can have multiple ones to fall back upon if one can't take the full load. Lovers come and go usually and they sometimes just stick around for the *ahem* benefits

i think a friend is more important....you can have a lover and still feel the pangs of aloneness but friends are great...they are there no matter what.......through it all
