The Constitution clearly forbids searchs without a warrant. The Bush administration openly seaches peoples' communication without a warrant, and insists they don't need one even when the courts say yes you do. They even support the Cheney-Specter Surveillance Bill which would give the White House a blank check to spy on Americans without a warrant.
The Constitution also mandates swift justice, trial by jury, the right to face your accuser and the right to legal counsel. The Bush administration has denied all of these to prisoners.
The Constitution forbids "cruel and unusual punishment" which includes torture. The Bush administration has overseen torture committed on US prisoners--including "rendition" (sending prisoners to other countries where they will be tortured)--and keeps trying to change the law to legalize retroactively.
Is it clearer now?
Consider this also. If you are a conservative, do you really want a very liberal president in the future to have these kinds of powers over you? Would you want Howard Dean or Hilary Clinton to have the authority to tap your phones or grab anyone they didn't like to have them tortured?

Read reports by the Center for Constitutional Rights, a group that is trying to protect the Constitution. They have numerous examples.

Yep, he is all about shredding the constitution.
Right after he fixes the next longhorn game, creates another hurricane and releases the Dominions of battle bots on the universe.

If you have to ask you either wouldn't understand, or you don't really care. Just try torturing prisoners. Work through that or are you one that will try to justify it?
