Hall of fame right fielder Roberto Clemente played his entire career as a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was born in Puerto Rico, also where the plane he was aboard crashed (December 31, 1972). He was helping deliver supplies to victims of a Nicaruagan earthquake at the time of the crash. He was only 38 years old.
