Seriously, an "addiction" is something a person feels compelled to do but that also causes a type of withdrawal when you don't do it. Physiological addictions are the most salient. You don't mean "addiction" you mean "compulsion."

Compulsive behavior is something you do over and over again, and sometimes against your better judgement. Something like compulsive gambling is an example. Don't confuse what I'm saying with "obsessive compulsive" behavior." An "obsession" refers to the thoughts you might have that repeatedly disturb you, so this word doesn't really apply to someone who stays on Yahoo answers for many hours unless it keeps bothering you that you keep thinking about wanting to go to Yahoo answers.

There have been some researchers who suggest something like "internet addiction" is real, but this is quite controversial. Remember what I'm saying about an addiction above. If you stay on the Internet for many hours each day it is not necessarily compulsive behavior based on the time factor. The problem is only real when you stay on the Internet for so many hours but you really don't want to and it's something creating distress that you can't control. Now, if Yahoo answers is doing that to you my guess is you have another underlying problem.

And when you figure it out, tell the rest of us. Then ask about how to stop the yahoo! games addiction.
I limit my time here, or I would be here way more than I am. I read the questions, and limit the # of answers I give, I answer only those that I feel I really have something to say, that has not been said yet. I have set up a schedule of things to do that are not answering questions, or wearing out my mouse on games. It has helped some. LOL, here I am, answering questions.
Good luck! Maybe Yahoo! Chat should have a room called Yahoo! Addiction.
