Cesc is an awesome player, and I can see him becoming one of the all time great midfielders in the future. But what position do you prefer to see him play as for Arsenal.
1. Attacking Midfielder: He has good passes like Riquelme's (but not as experienced), and great finish as well. He can surely be a good CF or AMF.
2. Right Midfield: Sometimes he runs out there, and with his dribbling techniques and speed, he could find successes there as well.
3. Central Midfielder: Plays box-to-box like Ballack or Vieira. He can do it with balanced offence and defence, which he has both.
4. Defensive Midfield: Plays like Deschamps or Vieira to support and connect the attack lines (counterattack). Break up oppoents' offence down the middle.
I prefer 3, and you?

1.Attacking Midfielder.
But he's a CM and plays right midfield....he's all over the place! lol That's what makes him so good. He can play wherever the coach puts him. I think if he plays like this all season, or maybe even better (just staying consistent) he could be recoginzed as one of the best in Arsenal. I'm sure he'll have a great season no matter what position he's playing.

He is really quite a versatile player. I'd like to see him have a shot at #1. He may lack a bit of experience here but given the opportunity I believe he will develop really well as he is as you mentioned a great finisher.

Right now, he hasn't got the physical presence to go head on with players built like Ballack and Viera. Its better to play him further up the pitch so he won't get too badly damaged.
