Hi,
I have a dog, Ruffles, who won't stop s hitting in my cat's litter box. At first, I thought my cat, sprinkles, had an enlarged prostate or something and that was the reason for these King Kong craps, but then I caught Ruffles dropping a deuce. Anyway, I have moved the kitty litter box several times, but there is no stopping Ruffles. He just loves to s hit in that kitty litter box. Any suggestions?

Just let him do it. Then you dont have to pick up dog turds and clean a crappy litter box. You just have to clean a rappy litter box.

That doesn't seem like a problem to me. Ruffles obviously knows that's where crap goes & he sees that you don't get mad at the cat for doing it, he probably thinks you won't get mad at him. I don't think getting him his own box will help, but then again I don't really know either, I think he's just going to go where he knows it's ok. Don't be mad at him, he's just a dog.
When I take my either of my dogs out they walk alot before they go #2. I think a dog has to move a bit first; that's why if you stand still the leash gets all twisted from their walking. If you just take the dog out & think he's done because you're too tired or cold the walk back to the house could've made him have to go & where else is he going to go without getting you pissed off? You got it - in Sprinkles' box.

1. take Ruffles outside more often.

2. Let Ruffles do his business in the litter box. At least he's not doing it on the carpet.

Good training if you live in an apartment, now you don't have to rush home every day. Put the box on a table where the dog can't get to it but the cat can.

Let him do it! Now you don't have to take him out in the morning or at night. You can take him out when you feel like it. I would maybe buy another litter box so you have two so the cat always has access to the loo!

wish you could get mine to do that. I'm sure its a pain to some extent but at least he isn't dropping it in the middle of the living room. You might just have to let him keep on doing it. If you make him stop "going" there, he will probably just find a different place to "go" and you might not like the new spot he picks out.

GOOD LUCK

Let him keep doing it there because he is being courteous to you by dumping in the litter box then making a second mess outside to clean!!

This is great.... Just thing you dont have to worry about takeing him outside all the time. If he wants to go #2 in the box let him and clean it up. Youve just trained your dog to not have to need to go outside and when it needs to go it just goes in one location

and you worried why??
atleast it isnt being done on the floor. maybe you should have one for the cat and one for the dog.
if not, then start taking the dog out more often.
thats actually pretty cool. atleast you kno if you leave for a long time, it wont be done on the floor!
