look at her from the time she enters the door, and continues looking at her until she finishes her business there. She has to tell me this stuff. What kind of personality is this? why does she have to tell me this?

She is just bragging because she has low self esteem and wants to boost herself. I have men stare at me all the time and do nice things for me but i never ever brag like that to anyone because I thinks thats just ridiculous.

She has an exceptionally huge ego and is self-absorbed OR she's extremely self-conscious & has low self-esteem and is looking for validation.
If it's the former, even if you tell her you REALLY don't care to hear about it, you'll just be jealous according to her. If it's the latter, there's little you can do except to try to empathize.
To figure out exactly what's going on with her, why don't you say, "I'm curious: why IS it exactly that you think I want to know that?" It may just be enough of a knock on the head to let her know you really do NOT care.
And after bringing it to her attention, if it still bothers you to the point of making you want to ring her neck, just stop socializing with her. No one wants or needs to be made to feel inferior to someone else, regardless of reason.

I would think that deep down she has some security issues. She probably feels that is her only positive attribute. Talk to her about it first. Maybe she sees you as a threat and she has to show that she is just as good or better.
I had a friend like that, and it ended up with me telling her that i didn't want to hear it anymore if she wanted to remain my friend. I told her that enough was enough. We didn't talk for about a month,and she called me jealous of her, then after that she showed up one day.. we are still friends to this day. You really have to tell her how you feel or it will never stop. Tell her you are there for her through good and bad.. Show her other aspects of life that will make her see she is good.. Either that or tell her that that line of conversation will not be tolerated in your relationship. that it is off limits when you are together.

You already said it, she likes to brag. She clearly has self-image issues and this attention makes her feel better about herself and she needs let other people know she's getting the attention. It's all about insecurity.

like everyones else says: she has low self-esteem... but ur right...she should keep it to herself. I don't like when people brag..she may be saying those things b/c she wishes that could really happen to her, or she is in a situation that's she's scared of or something is bothering her!

She seems conceited but if she keeps bragging its probably because she either has low self-esteem or she's just lying to make herself feel better.

She sounds like a narcissist. I hate girls like that. It is caused by her own insecurities. Maybe she wants you to feel jealous because she thinks highly of you and wants you to compete with her. Tell her to humble herself. It's not a big deal.
