Yes I am 39 weeks and have been nesting too and want to clean and do laundry all the time. I tend to notice when I do get the energy to clean one day, the next day I am totally wiped out. This also gets annoying for me because I get frustrated that I dont have the energy to clean this and that and know my time is almost up and fear everything wont be "perfect" when I bring the baby home. It does not help that I have a 2 year old to clean up after too. So picking up the same toys and stuff that she drags out every day just makes me feel that all my attempts to clean up are futile. So basically I am nuts right now. :-) lol. If you are tired though then rest and try not to think about that drawer that needs to be reorganized.

With my second son, I would nap and then get up in the middle of the night to do the dishes! I was tired, but it was an urge I couldnt stop. For some reason, that really happens, I always kinda thought it was a myth. Anyway, with my last one, I was too exhausted to do anything and was on partial bed rest. My husband helped out big time and made supper and did the dishes. My mom even helped and did my laundry and watched my other boys while I took a nap or went to the store. So, dont do it if its making you really tired or feels bad. Hopefully you have a good support system and can have people help out a little. I learned that my husband doesnt always do things my way, but I had to adjust because he was willing to do it.

Well, I think it's OK to give in to nesting. BUT just don't over do it.
I'm not on bed rest but my Dr. did cut back my work hours to 30 per week, but sometimes I work 40 or more. On days I don't feel to go is when I try to take it slow. When I feel great, and my work is done I go get my 2 boys from daycare, help theme with homework, cook , and clean. But I only do what my body says. If I'm tried or not feeling to good, I leave heavy cleaning for the next day. "Good Luck"

Get all of the rest you can because once your baby comes, resting is something that is a priviledge and not a right! Seriously! I know the feeling you are having though. When I was about to have my daughter, all I wanted to do was clean. EVERYTHING! But I knew that I also needed rest, so I did it in moderation. When I could clean, I would do as much as I could, but when I rested, I rested, too! That is just a sign of you about to go into labor.

If you are on bed rest, stay there. There is a reason your doctor wants you in bed, and you need to follow your doctor's advice. And you know what, as soon as your baby is born, it will be the most important thing, and you really won't care if your fridge is clean. If you think you are tired now, just wait. Any day now you will be on 24 hour duty

At this point, I'd give into the rest. Get plenty of it cause when that baby comes (anytime now) in two more weeks, you'll wish you could even sleep through a whole night. I'm sure you've done enough nesting since you've been pregnant. Take a break! You deserve it!

I think you just need a balance. Nest until you get tired, then rest. Rest awhile, then "nest" some more. You need to do both, but don't wear yourself out. There'll be plenty of time for that later.....right now, your health and that of your baby is the most important.

Whoa, slow down :). I know that cleaning seems like it just has to be done, but be careful! My mother did the same with my brother. She was "nesting" and moved the freezer to clean behind it and went into labor that night. Since you are on bed rest I would just stay calm and relax!

Lie and rest! If you get tired, cleaning up is left to other people! Or just ditch it for the time being!
