For example, if someone starts eating healthily and exercising regularly, can it take up to a month or more to start noticing any results? Consider the person has a normal metabolism and has had poor eating/excerise habits for a year or more.

Yes it does take time! The lose weight fast crash craze is at an all time high. The problem actually lies in your blood sugar factor. You can cut carbs and fat but without cutting the kinds of carbs that spike blood sugar your body will actually store it continuosly as fat. you must eat small amount of food each day like four to 6 times a day but healthy to keep your metabolism moving and than you will drop about 2 too 3 pounds a week.

Yes. I've definitely experienced that. Also, consider that you may be builder lots of muscle right now. Muscle weighs twice as much as fat, so the reason why the scale has not moved is because, although you are losing fat, you're putting on a lot more muscle.

you'll hit natural periods where it's more difficult.. also you could be gaining muscle at a rate close enough to make up for the fat burning.. make sure you are doing toning workouts and not mass building workouts..... and even though I'm not a big calorie counter.. the fact of the matter is you have to burn more calories than you consume to lose weight.. so you might track one week just to see how you are doing.
