About a 10% chance of snow. I grew up in Richmond, Va, and it snowed about 3 times a year. It's the same with the mountains of North Carolina.

You'll be fine. I did it in December of last year. Just watch out if you go through Nashville. I wrecked on a 4 lane highway.
