I have Broadband at hom, DSL at work but I don't really notice a difference in speed or download time. Is it worth paying the extra $ for Broadband?

Don't know why you think it isn't, but DSL is considered broadband.

DSL comes in various speeds and out of the broadband options, it's GENERALLY (but not always) one of the slower broadband options.

Broadband is a generic term for higher bandwidth (faster connection speeds) than dial-up.
DSL is one type of broadband connection; cable is another...
They have different speeds. More or less, you get what you pay for.

It is the same.

I used to have 5meg DSL down..it wasn't too bad

I had to move to Cable at 1024 down...slower downloads..BUT seems way more responsive then dsl ever was.
