You forget his job is to serve us not us serve him. And are you saying that no matter what he does we should support him? That doesn't sound like freedom to me.......

Because they are not patriots and forget Ben Franklin's words that those who give up essential freedom for a little safety deserve neither.

Because they believe my country right or wrong instead of I love my country therefore I want it to be the best I can be.

Many of these people are arrogant and refuse to admit they were wrong as they put this guy in there who is ruining the country and the world, so they prefer blinders.

Also they saturate themselves with propagandized right wing fox TV and Rush Limbaugh etc. and let these people do the thinking and supposed research for them.

Generally, they are closed minded and not that intelligent except in how to put me, me, me ahead.

I love how conservatives say "support the president right or wrong" now, but were screaming for impeachment when Clinton got a BJ. Support the fake president when he is murdering hundreds of thousands while destroying democracy here and around the world, but impeach a real (elected) president because of a little sex? You conservatives are just too much. Hypocrites and fake Christians, the lot of you!

Bush is the first "president" in the history of our country that was not elected for anything but governor of Texas...and that term is long over. There was a couple of vice presidents that became President, but they were elected for that post. This is the first time that the Supreme Court overrode the will of the people to appoint a "president".

Many citizens do have a duty to support the President. He is the commander-in-chief of the armed forces and so, if you are in the service, your duty to obey orders (as long as they are legal) requires you to support the president to that degree.

My hat is off to everyone that has volunteered for military service or served through conscription.

Also, if you are a police officer, the president is the top law enforcer in the country. To the degree that you enforce the law, you are supporting our president.

As with our military personnel, we owe huge debt to the people that protect and serve daily.

On the other hand, America is a government of the people. If you defer your ideals to a presidential proxy, (by mindlessly saying you agree with everything he says and does) you are derelict in your duties as a citizen in a free society.

I don't know why they feel like they have to. But I will support the President if I feel like he is doing all he can do to serve and protect this country no matter who is in office. I will not listen to a bunch of crap about him that's not true. Action speaks louder then words and that's what I go by.

They fear true responsibility. If they actually have to question what the President has done then they have to take responsibility for their actions of voting him in.

There is also a sense o laziness. They want to remain ignorant. Look at the PEW research study after the last election. It showed that most Bush supporters actually believed that Bush's positions on issues where the exact opposite of his real stance.

As American citizens, we have a duty to this country to question the president when his action conflicts with our own beliefs. This, people, does not mean that we are not patriotic. In contrast, we are exercising the very rights and freedom afforded to us by our forefathers. Therefore, we are very much patriotic.

You are obviously educationally challenged. You might disagree with our government but they were democratically elected by the majority of the people to govern our country. When the people do not support their government, the door is left open for events such as the Thialand coup now going on.

Bush was elected to serve the country instead of his own needs of oil! The people who support him refuse to see all the things he has done to ruin USA. He also uses fear tactics and therfore people are willing to support him on anything to feel safe.
There are many who are educated and open minded and do not support him and they are counting the days until he leaves office.

Freedom is just the opposite of that. We are entitled to our displeasure if we disagree with what our government is doing. Then, come election time, it is US who decides whether they keep their jobs.

Politicians would do well to learn and understand that.

That's right, we hire him to do a job for us and when he is not doing that job like we feel we want him to he should at least be open to criticism, but if you criticize Bush you are traitor. Go Figure.
