why doesn't your buisness use solar, wind or other renewable energies?

Question

The reason is from the power comp. not wanting to loose the MONEY. It’s not expensive, or big and in the way. You can locate them to areas where there isn't a lot of businesses around (if using wind) solar power you can hide on roof tops. No you don't need the sun shinning directly on it. You should study how they work. It only takes light. The reason why this was posted wasn't really for answers but to educate people to think about other ways to fix our planet. What are you doing that you can fix?

Because they are so expensive, they make it impossible to make a fair profit.

Additional: In some states, an electric company is required to buy back any non-fossil energy generated by a home or business that is not used. This is a nice incentive. In my state, the requirements are that you have to generate far too much to make it feasible, and purchase all your own equipment to connect to the power company.

There is also the risk for power company workers. If you are generating power and you are hooked into their network, a repairman who cuts off the power at their end to make a repair, does not always realize that you are powering the lines also.

wind takes up a lot of space something they are a bit short on around cities. You see most businesses use the energy provided by the local power company. Maybe you should ask them. you'd find out how much area a solar wind generater takes. How solar panels aren't a lot of good when it's overcast for a week. not to mention the wind damage and maintence cost.

find renewable energy that won't bankrupt me and I am there. Right now there is nothing better than the power company and they use NG to make power.
