Well, that was interesting reading!
I would defend 'Revolution No. 9' for its commercial riskiness and willing to experiment; and yes, I do listen to it and do not skip it on the White Album. It improves the more you're exposed to it, just like cough medicine (I hasten to add that few people have listened to cough medicine).
I'm delighted that someone picked 'The Long And Winding Road', a genuinely atrocious piece of schmaltz by Paul McCartney. It is mind-bogglingly awful, yet is on several 'Best Of' compilations.
'Maxwell's Silver Hammer' is twee, but rescued by the wonderfully smutty line 'late nights all alone with a test-tube, oh, oh oh oh.'
'Mister Moonlight' is the sound of an immature band (at that time) doing something that wasn't really them. There's an entertaining out-take on one of the Anthologies, can't remember which.

Hey Jude hands down
As you read other possible candidates you will notice that many of the worst songs had paul as the author
Answer to an un- asked question : On Beatles songs the person who sang lead was the person who did most of the writing,
with the exception of a couple of george or ringo songs that john or paul tossed their way.

I actually turn the station when many Beatles songs come on. Yeah -- there are a few great ones -- but most are catchy but lame. From a listening standpoint, Revolution #9 is the worst song. But at least it isn't lame. The one I hat ethe most is The Long And Winding Road.

wow, these answers were tough to read, since i'm a big beatles fan. Of course i respect everyone's opinions, but i think most people dont like the Beatles because they play the same songs everywhere like "Yesterday", "hey Jude", "Yellow Submarine", but people dont really listen to all their songs. The same people that hate the Beatles are the ones who like bands like Coldplay, fallout boy, sum 41, limp bizkit and claim these bands started it all. Back to your question, i cant say worst, but the song i mainly skip is "WHy dont we do it on the road"

My vote is for "The Inner Light" - flip-side of the "Lady Madonna" single - pure psychedelic hogwash - hear it once & you could gladly wait decades to hear it again
tied for second would be "Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand" and "Sie Liebt Dich" - German-language versions of "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" and "She Loves You" - bad performances, bad translations
"There's A Place", "Chains", and "I'll Get You" have always gotten on my nerves
all that notwithstanding, The Beatles are still my favorite group, 42 years and counting.

As a Beatles fan, it's hard to come up with a 'worst', but I guess the one I like least would be "The Fool on the Hill"

They are just overrated. They have some good songs, but just because they were "the beatles" doesn't mean every song was good.

They're all good. Some better than others. The worst will naturally be found among their first recordings.

i agree with the person above i freakin hate "maxwell silverhammer". my fiance loves it. he said it reminds him of his childhood. which by the song, would lead one to believe it was frightfully disturbing. don't get me i wrong, i adore the beatles. but, the odd britishesque songs like maxwell silverhammer give me the heebie jeebies.
