Jean and Scott were married in the comic book series..took damn long enough, but they finally tied the knot. Logan had left the mansion before then, but he did make a cameo appearance of sorts. Sabertooth *who was also at the mansion* mused about raiding the wedding and killing everyone, when he hears something. He turns around and says "So, you DID make it after all." You don't see Wolverine, but rather a message in the snow *the scene was outdoors*. The message *to Sabertooth* was : Don't even think about it, bub!"
But yes.....Storm was the maid of honor and bridesmaid duties were handled by Rogue, Jubilee and Psyloche. Scott's brother Alex *Havoc* was best man and the groosmen were Beast and Arcangel. My fave part is when Jean used her powers to help Professsor X *who walked Jean down the aisle* stand so he could dance with her. At first, Charles was afraid that she revealed her powers but she said *I found this really touching* "My mother always told me to save the last dance for the man who brought you to the ball. And that man, dear Charles, is you." Sniff sniff

Well, let's see...
After "dying" in the John Byrne/Chris Claremont X-Men run (Uncanny X-Men #137 Sep 1980), Byrne brought her back in Fantastic Four #286 (Jan 1986). This issue explained that she never died. The Phoenix Force "died" while appearing to be Jean.
Later, her body merges (again or for the first time, depending on how you look at it) with the Phoenix Force. She is "killed" in New X-Men #150 (Feb 2004) by a bad guy pretending to be Magneto.
The Phoenix Force continues to live up to it's name and be resurrected on occasion. See the recent "Phoenix: Endsong" limited series from 2005 for one example.

After what seemed like forever, Scott and Jean eventually married in X-Men 30, 'The Ties That Bind: The Wedding of Jean Grey and Scott Summers, in 1994. About time if you ask me. Things were okay, then Scott apparently died when he merged with Apocolypse, but Jean rufused to believe that. She eventually found him, alive, but his personality had changed, and their marriage was strained. Things got even worse when Jean found out he was having a psychic affair with Emma Frost. Shortly after that, she was killed, basically dying in Scott's arms. So far, she hasn't risen again since Phoenix: Endsong, and I dunno what the writers are going to do. Check out this link, its the synopisis of the wedding issue. http://uncannyxmen.net/db/issues/showquestion.asp?fldAuto=1525
