Because the phrase Bye- Bye is an American bastardization of the more gentile phrase, "I will see you in the bye and bye"

Basically, we're lazy.

cause we spent money money on proper cultural euphamisms, so when you get a kiss from a girl it can either be a kiss or it can be a kiss kiss.
but if you dont go, then you go go. thats also a dance. but its not a dance dance.
