Yes, you can use a brush on non-yellowing polyurethane. You will need several coats, like 8-10, let it dry thoroughly between coats. Varathane makes a good one that comes in several finishes, from matte to high gloss. You can get it at the home improvement stores.

yes you can spray it with clear laquer, it can be purschased in a can like spray paint, get the best brand they have , or you can dip it into some Clear sanding sealer it is in a can like paint not spray. stay away from Varathane or gym seal as they will have a slight tint to them and ultimately will crystalize leaving hair-line looking cracks everywhere.........good luck

How can you be so cruel! What did that poor cookie ever do to you? I don't care how pretty that cookie is, it's a cookie. It's laying there and screaming at you "Dunk me in some milk, and eat me... eat me. Would you want to have polyurethane poured on you and hung on the wall, I think not. Sink your teeth in to it and savor how it feels as it crumbles against your tongue. Please, make that cookie happy and CONSUME it. (after you do, it just might make you happy too).

You can probably buy a spray at a craft store (such as Michaels) that will seal it -- but then you can never eat it.

Get one of those food savers...that machine that vacuum seals your food, then stick it in the freezer.
