Probably your question is wrong. Why i say? Because human brain remembers everything accurately in first chance only. It the type of memory which differentiates the recalling speed. It all depends upon the brain. Most probably, males remember them accurately very soon because they have more white matter in brain, which females lacks in. They have their grey matter dominant.
The white matter helps in improving the resoning power, IQ, etc. The grey matter helps remember mainly the litrature type stuffs.
This is the reason, why males remember phone numbers easily than females.
Well, in fact i have powerful memorizing and imagination capability which makes me remember and recall phone number with the full details about the person in just 1 min. 37 secs.
